When you ship through Truede, the buyer pays the shipping cost on top of the item price. All rates are on one public page: the shipping rates. They include VAT.
How is the price set?
- The price depends on the carrier (bpost or Mondial Relay), the delivery option (service point or home delivery) and the parcel size the seller declares.
- On the listing you see the current price as ‘Shipping from’. The final price appears at checkout, once you pick your carrier.
- From that moment your price is locked. If the rate card changes while your payment is in progress, your price does not.
Why do the rates change?
Carriers adjust their prices regularly. Truede therefore updates the rate card periodically, usually monthly. The shipping-rates page always shows when the list was last updated.
Where is this written down?
The price guarantee and the way Truede calculates shipping are in §5 of the Truede Protection Policy.
